Jordan Azcune – Brisbane City Council Lord Mayor’s Young and Emerging Artist Fellowship
Jordan Azcune has been awarded the Lord Mayor’s Young and Emerging Artists Fellowship through Brisbane City Council. The fellowship supports young and emerging Brisbane artists and arts workers aged between 17 and 30. The program aims to develop creatives who wish to join national or international training and development programs through participation in training programs, mentorships and structured experiences.
Azcune will use the funding to undertake research in Hyderabad, India, by visiting architecturally significant places of worship and monumental sculptures to support the development of networks and skills in visual arts, public art and architectural expressions of spirituality. Azcune will share his knowledge by developing a new body of work that will be presented in Brisbane and Hyderabad.
